Abstract

INDONESIA:
Peserta didik yang menjadi korban perceraian orang tua sehingga dapat berdampak buruk terhadap perkembangan otak dan dapat memunculkan pikiran negatif. Peneliti bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan konseling individu, serta hasil penerapan konseling individu khususnya dengan strategi apa, agar peserta didik dapat mengendalikan emosionalnya pasca perceraian orang tua di SMPN 5 Mendo Barat.

Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konseling individu dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu tahapan awal, tahap pertengahan,dan tahap akhir. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat 3 teori konseling individu yaitu humanistik, behavioral, dan psikoanalisis.

Adapun faktor yang mempengaruhi penerapan konseling individu dalam mengendalikan emosional peserta didik yaitu: faktor individu, faktor keluarga, faktor pengalaman, dan faktor psikologis. Selain itu keefektifan faktor penerapan konseling individu terdapat 5 indikator dalam perubahan emosional peserta didik yaitu: mampu mengendalikan amarah secara lebih baik, mengendalikan perilaku agresif yang dapat merusak diri dan orang lain, mempunyai perasaan tentang diri sendiri dan orang lain, memiliki kemampuan untuk mengatasi stress, dan dapat mengurangi perasaan cemas.

ENGLISH:
Students who are victims of parental divorce can experience adverse effects on brain development and may develop negative thoughts. The researcher aims to determine the application of individual counseling, as well as the results of individual counseling, particularly the strategies used, so that students can control their emotions after parental divorce at SMPN 5 Mendo Barat.

The method used in this study was a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that individual counseling was carried out in several stages, namely the initial stage, the middle stage, and the final stage. In this study, there were three theories of individual counseling, namely humanistic, behavioral, and psychoanalytic.

The factors that influence the application of individual counseling in controlling students' emotions are: individual factors, family factors, experience factors, and psychological factors. In addition, there are five indicators of the effectiveness of individual counseling in changing students' emotions, namely: being able to control anger better, controlling aggressive behavior that can harm oneself and others, having feelings about oneself and others, having the ability to cope with stress, and being able to reduce feelings of anxiety.
