Abstract
ENGLISH :
This study aims to find significant differences by comparing samples that received treatment using VoA (Voice of America) English Learning and those who didn’t in the eleventh grade of SMK N 4 Pangkalpinang. This study also wants to find the effect of VoA (Voice of America) English Learning on the English Speaking skills of the samples. This study adopted a quasi-experimental research as well as an experimental research. 55 students were included in the sample from two classes, with 30 placed as the experimental group and 25 as the control group. Four areas of the study were limited: vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and fluency. Pre-test and post-test procedures were used by the researcher to assess students' speaking skills. The tests were analyzed using SPSS 26.
The results of the observation revealed that VoA (Voice of America) English Learning increased enthusiasm, motivation, and students gained confidence in their oral skills. This study found that the mean in the experimental class (Mean = 72.1250) was higher than the control class (Mean = 71.1875). It be concluded that there was a significant different between students who are thought used VoA (Voice of America) influence on students' speaking skills by using VoA (Voice of America) English Learning.
