Abstract
ENGLISH:
This study aimed to find out the use of English cartoon to improve students’ listening skill by comparing the result of pre-test and post-test from experimental and control class at MTs Miftahul Khoir Kundi Grade VIII. This study used quasi-experimental design. The population of this study were 28 students, consisted of 12 students from class VIII B and 15 students from class VIII A. The researcher used purposive sampling to choose the sample. The scope of material to teach were limited into two kinds; listening to specific information and listening to the main idea. The researcher used pre-test and post-test to assess students’ listening skill. To analyze the data, the researcher used SPSS 25. The researcher used observation sheet to analyze the student’s behavior on teaching and learning process. The researcher found that the mean comparison between experimental and control group was 69.23 and 60.66. This research discovered that there was a significant different on students’ listening skill between experimental group and control group and using English cartoon video to teach listening skill.
