Abstract
ENGLISH:
This research was aimed to discover a significant difference by comparing samples who got a treatment by using Buzz Group Technique and those who were not in the eighth grade of SMP N 2 Merawang. It also wanted to discover Buzz Group effect as a learning platform on samples' English Speaking skills. This study adopt a quasi-experimental research and quantitative research. 50 pupils were included in the sample from two classes, with 25 placed as experimental group and 25 as control group. Two areas of this study's scope were restricted: vocabulary, pronunciation. Pre-test and post-test procedures were used by researcher to assess pupils' speaking skills. The test was analyzed by SPSS 26. The observation’s outcome revealed, Buzz Group Technique gained the pupils’ enthusiast, motivated, and pupils gained confident in their oral skills. The research found that the mean in experimental class (Mean= 70.56) was higher compared to control class (Mean=60.48). In conclusion a significant effect on pupils’ speaking skills by using Buzz Group Technique was discovered. According to the results of research that has been carried out, Buzz Group Technique was proven to be effective in learning.
