Abstract
ENGLISH:
The objective of this study was to find out the implementation of color coding strategy in teaching writing descriptive text at SMP N 3 Puding Besar. The population of this study were 35 students that were taken from eight grade of SMP N 3 Puding Besar. This research was quantitative research with pearson’s correlation coefficients was used to quasi experimental design as a design procedure in conducting this research. The research used writing test in a paragraph. Dealing with the result of coefficient computation, it revealed that was 0.05 and for the critical value from a significant level table 5% was 2.00 it is considered that the null hypotesis (ho) was rejected and the alternative hyphotesis (ha) was accepted. From this description, there was significant differences between students who were taught by using color coding strategy and taught non color coding strategy.
