This research was motivated by students' low English language proficiency. Therefore, learning was needed that not only focused on the results but also the learning process. One approach, interactive media, was the Busuu learning application, which was considered suitable for addressing this issue. This study aimed to examine the improvement in vocabulary achievement through the Busuu application among seventh-grade students at MTS N 1 Pangkalpinang. This study was categorized as an experimental research, spesifically a quasi-experimental design, using a two-groups pre-test and post-test design. The use of Busuu showed higher participation and better comprehension through several indicators such as paying attention, following demonstrations, and preparing necessary devices, students selected and reviewed relevant vocabulary, Learning new words, sharing their experiences, and learned more effectively improved students’vocabulary achievement more than students who learned without the application. The sample of this research consisted of two classes students from VII A and 32 students from VII B. Data collection was conducted using observation and tests. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent sample t-tests. Based on the results of the normality test, all tests were normally distributed because the α>0.05. The homogeneity test obtained a value of 0.997, indicating that the data obtained were homogeneous because the sig>0.05. Meanwhile, the results of the hypothesis test obtained a value of 0.00. Therefore, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, so it could be concluded that there was an increase in vocabulary achievement through the Busuu application in 7th grade students of MTS N 1 Pangkalpinang.
