Abstract
INDONESIA
Latar belakang penelitian ini berfokus pada self-regulation
siswa pada kelas XI di SMAN 1 Parittiga, yang memiliki 179 siswa. Data menunjukkan bahwa siswa sering kali melakukan prokrastinasi akademik yang mengakibatkan tugas yang terbengkalai dan hasil belajar yang rendah, siswa lebih memprioritaskan aktivitas lain daripada tugas akademik. Hal tersebut dapat berdampak negatif pada nilai mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara self-regulation dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa kelas XI di SMAN 1 Parittiga, serta memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya self- regulation dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih seimbang.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui teknik purposive sampling , yaitu teknik penentuan sampel berdasarkan pertimbangan dan kriteria tertentu sebanyak 45 responden. Pertama, data diperoleh dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada siswa kelas XI berjumlah 45 siswa. Kedua, penilaian skor dilakukan berdasarkan jawaban angket yang sesuai dengan instrumen yang telah dirancang dan standar penilaian yang ditetapkan. Ketiga, data hasil skoring diinput kedalam Microsoft Excel untuk memudahkan pengolahan sebelum diolah lebih lanjut. Keempat, data kemudian diimpor atau disalin dari Excel ke SPSS 22.0Untuk analisis lebih mendalam. Kelima, analisis statistik dilakukan sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian, termasuk uji validitas, reliabilitasm dan uji hipotesis seperti uji korelasi, serta analisis regresi. Dengan langkah-langkah ini, penelitian bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran yang komprehensif mengenai hubungan antaraself-regulation dengan prokrastinasi akademik siswa.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan self -regulation memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap prokrastinasi akademik siswa kelas XI di SMAN 1 Parittiga, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Temuan ini konsisten dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang menunjukkan bahwa adanya self-regulation terhadap prokrastinasi akademik berdampak positif. Mayoritas siswa berada dalam kategori sedang untuk prokrastinasi akademik, yang menunjukkan perlunya peraturan diri lebih dari siswa untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang sehat dan seimbang. The background of this study focuses on self-regulation of students in grade XI at SMAN 1 Parittiga, which has 179 students. Data shows that students often do academic procrastination which results in neglected tasks and low learning outcomes, students prioritize other activities rather than academic tasks. This can have a negative impact on their grades. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-regulation and academic procrastination in grade XI students at SMAN 1 Parittiga, as well as provide insight into the importance of self-regulation in creating a more balanced learning environment.
This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection through purposive sampling technique, which is a sampling technique based on certain considerations and criteria of 45 respondents. First, the data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to 45 students in grade XI. Second, the score assessment was carried out based on the questionnaire answers that were in accordance with the designed instrument and the established assessment standards. Third, the scoring data was input into Microsoft Excel to facilitate processing before further processing. Fourth, the data was then imported or copied from Excel to SPSS 22.0 for more in-depth analysis. Fifth, statistical analysis was carried out in accordance with the research objectives, including validity, reliability and hypothesis testing such a scorrelation tests, and regression analysis. With these steps, the study aims to provide a comprehensive picture of the relationship between self-regulation and students' academic procrastination.
The results of this study indicate that self-regulation has a significant relationship to academic procrastination of grade XI students at SMAN 1 Parittiga, with a significance value of 0.000. This finding is consistent with previous studies showing that self-regulation has a positive impact on academic procrastination. The majority of students are in the moderate category for academic procrastination, indicating the need for more self-regulation from students to create a healthy and balanced learning environment.
