Abstract
INDONESIA:
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menjelaskan konsep mendidik sesuai karakter anak yang digambarkan dalam novel serial Anak Anak Mamak karya Tere Liye, (2) menganalisis cara mendidik anak yang terdapat dalam novel serial Anak-Anak Mamak karya Tere Liye.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan jenis penelitian yang digunakan library research atau kajian kepustakaan. Pendekatan yang digunakan analisis fiksi berupa pendekatan memesis yang melihat karya sastra sebagai representasi dunia nyata melalui imitasi tindakan tokoh-tokoh dan peristiwa. Sumber primer yang diteliti yakni Novel Serial Anak-Anak Mamak karya Tere Liye yang terdiri dari novel Eliana, Pukat, Burlian dan Amelia. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pembacaan, penginventarisasian, pengidentifikasian, penginterpretasian, pembuktian, penyimpulan dan pelaporan. Teknik analisis data berupa teknik analisis isi yang terdiri dari tahap reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) konsep mendidik sesuai karakter anak adalah dengan memahami tipe-tipe kepribadian anak yang terdiri dari 4 tipe, yaitu: korelis, sanguinis, plegmatis dan melankolis. (2) cara mendidik anak yang terdapat dalam serial ini adalah: a) memberikan panggilan/julukan kepada anak, b) mengajarkan kesederhanaan, c) memperkuat dasar-dasar agama sejak dini, d) memberi keteladanan dan nasehat, e) berdialog, f) mengajarkan kedisiplinan, dan h) memberikan kasih sayang dan perhatian.

ENGLISH:
This research aims to: (1) describe the concept of educating according to the character of children depicted in the novel series Anak Anak Mamak by Tere Liye, (2) analyze ways of educating children contained in the novel series Anak-Anak Mamak by Tere Liye.
This research uses qualitative research methods and the type of research used is library research or literature review. The approach used in fiction analysis is a mesis approach which sees literary works as representations of the real world through imitation of the actions of characters and events. The primary source studied is the Anak-Anak Mamak Novel Series by Tere Liye which consists of the novels Eliana, Pukat, Burlian and Amelia. Data collection techniques use reading, inventorying, identifying, interpreting, proving, inferring and reporting techniques. The data analysis technique is a content analysis technique which consists of data reduction stages, data presentation and drawing conclusions.
Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that: (1) the concept of educating according to the child's character is to understand the child's personality types which consist of 4 types, namely: choleric, sanguine, phlegmatic and melancholic. (2) ways to educate children in this series are: a) giving children nicknames, b) teaching simplicity, c) strengthening the basics of religion from an early age, d) giving examples and advice, e) dialogue, f) teaching discipline, and h) giving love and attention.
