Abstract

ENGLISH :

The purpose of this study are (1) to know implementation of Peer Reviewing Technique in improving writing skill and (2) to find out whether any singnificant difference or not improving students writing skill who are taught by using Peer Reviewing Technique. In this researcher use quantitative method with quasy experimental design. the samples were 40 studentsthat were taken VIIth grade students of SMPN I Kepulauan Pongok in academic year 2020/2021.
The data were obtained by means of the test. The result of the test analyzed by sample t-test. Based on the result analyisis, the were to major finding namely (1) the implementation of Peer Reviewing Technique in improving students writing skill was very good, (2) based on the paired sample t-test, it could be seen that mean different of pre-test and post-test in experimental group was 76,35, while the mean different of pre-test and pos-test in control group was 43,20, in addition, base on independent sample t-test statistical analyasis on post-test experimental and control group show that the value of obtained was 23,10, which exceeded the critical value t-table 0.02 at the significant (0,000<0,005), in two taield testing with degree of freedom 14.
It means the null hypotesis (HO) was rejected and alternative hypotesis was accepted. In other words, there was a significant difference in students writing skill between students who are taught by using Peer Reviewing Technique and those who are were taught by using non Peer Reviewing is provided effective to improve student writing skill.
