This research aimed to determine the effect of Community Language Learning (CLL) on improving students’ speaking ability at the eighth grade of MTs Al-Islam Kemuja. It also aimed to describe the implementation of CLL and examine whether there was a significant improvement in students’ speaking skills after the treatment. This study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design used one-group pre-test and post-test. The sample consisted of 59 students from Class VIII C and VIII D selected through purposive sampling. The study focused on three aspects of speaking skills: pronunciation, fluency, and comprehension. Data were collected through observation sheets and speaking tests administered in pre-test and post-test sessions. The learning materials used were recount texts with the themes of holiday experience and unforgettable moment. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26. The observation results indicated that the implementation of CLL improved students’ participation, cooperation, confidence, and willingness to communicate in English. The statistical results showed improvement in speaking achievement. The mean score in Class VIII C increased from 58.23 to 84.90, while Class VIII D improved from 65.24 to 86.69. The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). In conclusion, Community Language Learning significantly improved students’ speaking ability and can be considered an effective teaching method
